Falmouth had an early library society known as the Falmouth Library Society, with preserved records dating back to 1792.  The current library traces its history directly back to the Falmouth Circulating Library, founded in 1876.  We now have a large library building on Main Street, based around the historic 1901 building, as well as branches in East and North Falmouth.  Read more about the Library's History or plan an in-person visit!
